Progress on Write Nonfiction In November
Day 6 (Friday 11-6-15):
Total new words added to my Write Nonfiction in November project tonight: 1,218 (daily goal is 1,200).
Project total is 28,622; added since WNFIN began on November 1st : 5,227.
And this was WITH a closing today AND visiting Barbara Gatewood at the nursing home before I sat down tonight to write.
Lesson for today: Evernote is an awesome app to have on your phone and your computer. I dictated a voice note while I was driving and it was waiting for me when I got to my desktop tonight. That note is the basis for today’s writing.
Day 7 (Saturday 11-7-15)
Total new words added to project tonight: 5,869 !
Okay, before I get too excited about that total, a big chunk of that was importing articles I had already written that I had intended all along to include as part of the content of this book. Even so, I did write several new sections and added things to some old sections, so I am reasonably sure that I did write over 1,200 new words.
Project total now stands at 34,491 words ; added since WNFIN began on November 1st : 11,096.
Lesson for today: Getting grief from my wife (about being accountable, setting deadlines, and sticking to my stated plans and goals) kept me from slacking off. I’ve said many times that she makes me a better person. So, today’s work is dedicated to her.
