Writing Prompt: Ghosts and Cats

Writing prompt:  Ghosts and Cats

Who keeps opening closed doors, unlocking locked ones, closing and locking the ones that were open? Why do you forget what drove you to enter a room just as you pass through the doorway? The Ghosts of the Doorways, of course.

Cats act so hyper at times because they’re chasing the ghosts. Seeing and dispelling the ghosts is part of the power given to cats by the ancient (Egyptian? Sumerian? Elder?) gods for their faithful companionship.  The ghosts love to hide inside closed doors, which is why cats create such a ruckus when you’re on the other side of a closed door.
